1. Information We Collect

ASPIRE collects information you provide directly when you create an account (name, email, password, grade level), information generated by your use of the platform (practice responses, essay submissions, progress data), and technical information (IP address, browser type, usage analytics).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and improve the platform, personalize your learning experience via adaptive algorithms, send weekly progress digests (if enabled), process payments via Stripe, and communicate service-related updates.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers necessary to operate the platform (Stripe for payments, Resend for email, OpenAI for AI features, Turso for database hosting). All providers are bound by data processing agreements.

4. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

ASPIRE is designed for students in grades 5–12. Accounts for students under 13 must be created by a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. If you believe we have collected such information inadvertently, contact us at privacy@aspireprep.us.

5. Data Security

Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We use industry-standard practices to protect your information, though no system is perfectly secure.

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing privacy@aspireprep.us. Account deletion removes all personally identifiable data within 30 days.
